Ducks and Geese on a Pond
We met some friends for dinner in Petaluma, CA and the park we went to had this amazing pond with lots of ducks and geese swimming about doing their thing.
I’ve taken to bringing my camera everywhere as a good photographer should, and this night I scrambled a bit to get my new 50mm lens mounted so I could get some pics of these amazing creatures.
A Little More About Dinner
We were hoping to hook up with a friend of our daughter and their family for dinner and a movie in the park, but we found out we were a day late for the movie.
We had both already ordered pizza from The Mad Sicilian and our kiddos had been looking forward to seeing each other for a long time, so we found a close by park and headed for it.
How serendipitous that this happened as we were able to chat and eat and just have some fun with new friends.
The Pizza!
As I mentioned earlier we ordered our pizza from The Mad Sicilian and OMG this was absolutely amazing!
We got one of their deep dish pizzas, which I had not had in a very long time, and we really did not have any idea what to expect. We were not disappointed!
I swear, this pizza had to have weighed 5 pounds and it was only 12″ with mushrooms and red onions, well, and all the cheese and sauce they piled onto it.
The crust was not overly thick and had an amazing caramelization on the outside while being light and fluffy inside, just the way a deep dish should be.
If you happen to be in Petaluma and are looking for a great pizza then you have to look these guys up!
